Bill and Melissa's Wedding - Thank you's!

Now that our wedding is over and we're getting back into our regular routine, Bill and I wanted to take the time to write a special post because we couldn’t have experienced such a beautifully-unique wedding without these extremely talented people on board!

Thank you to Ralph from Cortina Gourmet Market for not only providing incredible food for everyone, but smooth service from the start to finish, and of course making sure everybody had enough food to take-home. People are still talking about those meatballs!

Rob Tymec - “So, who could do a convincingly lovely British accent AND be our Officiant?” ROB! This was the conversation Bill and I said in unison when we started our wedding planning. We are so happy Rob that you were part of our wedding ceremony.

Simon Wyn Edwards Photography - Ah Simon, you were just terrific! You truly understood our vision and was able to capture memories that we can look back and smile upon. Cannot wait to see the photos. *Update: A total shock, Simon has passed away. He will be terribly missed.

Francois Jacques of Mack Flash Entertainment Another piece to our wedding that fit perfectly! We cannot thank you enough for creating a great blend of 80’s Trivia questions. You were a such an animated and fun host!

Paul Reaume – Thank you so much for creating our own “Mannequin” version wedding poster (which is actually now framed above our bed!). It turned out better than we could have ever hoped for.

Clinton Hammond “aka Bernie” - When Bill and I decided to hire someone as “Bernie” as a light-hearted and fun homage to the beloved 80’s flick Weekend at Bernie’s, we were overjoyed that you were up to the challenge! You were so convincing that my Mom thought you were an actual prop and not a real person. lol Amazing job!

Makeup by Melissa Lux - My "honeybee" Melissa! Incredibly talented at makeup artistry and one of the sweetest people that I got to know over a short period of time. Thank you for being so accommodating for us, and making my Mom and I feel so beautiful!

MORE THANK YOU'S!

We've been opening up our cards and looks like we got 3x the love. ;)

We cannot thank each of you enough for your generous gifts, support, and of course the unlimited supply of love and laughter throughout the whole night.

Happy Birthday Bill Nuvo!

Thank you to Jon Brett for this awesome video for Bill's birthday!

80's-inspired Wedding Montage Dance!

Just a little teaser here 💜

Although Friday I'm In Love was not technically released in 1980, it was 1992, The Cure means so much to me and this song had the right emotion!

Our wedding will be "80's inspired" so some other eras are bound to show up. ;)

All the movie clips are from the 80's and Bill put this montage together so perfectly.

Can you name all of them? These are definitely some of our favourites!

We're getting married in 2019!

Planning is something that has been very difficult for me and a bit of a fear to be honest. However, re-framing my thoughts and continuing my own personal healing journey, having things to look forward to is important, knowing that adjustments may need to be made because life doesn't go in a straight line, it is certainly a winding road.

We're quite the quirky couple and so this was pretty fitting, plus we both love the 80's! :)

Can you guess who is in the photo and the movie?

This is not the official wedding invite that our family and friends will get, but something fun to post at the moment.

As an entertainer, Bill's weekends are busy and so we both liked the idea of a week-day wedding. Plus this means he won't miss out on any prime-time gigs!

WE ARE ENGAGED!

Pinch me...

I'm engaged!!!!

Bill proposed to me tonight.

Thank you to our families for sharing such an important moment with us.

Also, a huge thank you to the amazing Bobby Sproat with his version of "In A World Like This" by The Backstreet Boys.

I am so happy and totally excited to plan our wedding!!
