Cooleez Ice Cream Parlour: Strolling through Reaume Park

We certainly had beautiful weather yesterday and so after dinner last night, we took a nice stroll around the Reaume Park.

There is a cute little ice cream place called Cooleez Ice Cream Parlour that has a plethora of ice cream flavours, slushies, sundaes, etc... When "chocolate peanut butter" is involved, you know Bill has to have it. Kind of nice because they also had dairy-free options, so he treated me to some lemon gelato! Another favourite which does have dairy but absolutely amazing is the St. Jacob's Apple Pie.

This is considered a "single scoop" by the way. Holy moly!

Enjoy!

Glorious November Weather At East Gate Estates

It is a beautiful day in East Gate for walking the pathway, not just for people, but for our furry friends too!

I know that this weather won't last, but while it does, I'm surely taking advantage of it.

Windsor Ontario Photography: Savouring Spring Time 2015

I took a walk through East Gate Estates where I live and caught my favourite purple tree, fully bloomed.

After that, I enjoyed a relaxing walk to Reaume Park. Here are a few of my favourite photos that I took.  If we're Facebook friends, you can see some of the others on there. I hope that i'll be able to go out and about and take more pictures throughout the summer. It's something I really enjoy doing. Hope you like them!

Oh and please don't use my photos without asking permission and giving me credit (ex. photo by Melissa Arditti).  I know in the Internet world that's tough to ask, but it's just common courtesy and a wee little respect that I feel I do deserve. :)

I call these kissing flowers.

It's me. :)

Mannequin Love

Sometimes there are moments in life that you want to capture, put in a tightly-sealed bottle and store away for those times when you want to relive them. This week, I had one of those moments.

On one of our usual strolls, Bill and I stopped in a thrift shop to look around because you just never know what treasures you may find!  Heading to the back of the store, there were all kinds of  furniture and electronics... this is where the magic happened. Bill found a mannequin bodice! She was perfect...and oddly enough had a very similar body shape to mine.  Bill said that he had to get it for me. We could paint and decorate her anyway I wanted and then it will be displayed in our bedroom. He always finds a way to make me feel beautiful and completely embraces my unusual passions, or some may say fetishes. The cashier rang her through and giddy as a school girl, we left. As the sun began to set, we walked home with my new mannequin.

There is just something about the way mannequins look that almost make you want to breathe life into them or just sit back and admire their stillness in parts or as a whole. They represent a beautiful piece of fragility within us all, so they are silent beauties. They also represent comfort and healing to me. I don't see them as just a piece of plastic mold or whatever texture they happen to come in.

Here she is. Quite stunning, don't you think?  I felt the need to cover her up properly for the photo and just add in one of my favourite movies; Mannequin in the background! :)
