Bill Nuvo: Gangnam style version!

Are you familiar with South Korean culture? Many of us would have said no a year ago, but if you haven't heard of Gangnam-style by now, you must be living under a rock.

This posting is dedicated to the hit dance-craze; Gangnam-style, and is also the inspiration from watching the 2012 American Music Awards (with Psy featuring the one and only legend; MC Hammer!)

I must say that I love the fact that Bill and I can be on the same wave length sometimes to create such cool videos. It makes our bond even stronger.

So here it is, Bill Nuvo's "gangnam-style," version, utilizing his creative humour and of course, stilt-walking abilities.

Horton Hears A Who! Movie Review I Will Make Monkeys Of These Monkeys!

Movie Review:

Horton Hears a Who is a fantastic, heart-warming and funny animated film about an imaginative elephant named Horton who suddenly hears a cry for help from a speck. At this point, he believes, despite ridicule from the others, that there is life on this speck and puts it safely on a clover. Being the only person able to hear the speck, it turns out there is a whole other little world unrecognized and the Mayor of Whoville needs Horton's help. Destruction is near if Horton cannot surpass all the obstacles that come his way to find a safe place for all of the Whos.

I was very impressed with the animation and story from the book by Dr. Seuss. Excellent cast with Jim Carrey, Steve Carell, Will Arnett, Seth Rogan and more. I enjoyed all the characters, especially the maniacal monkeys launching bananas, Vlad the overly dramatic buzzard as well as the random strangeness of Katie, the baby yak!

One of the best parts had to be the collaboration of all the people in WhoVille and all the animals in the The Jungle of Nool, singing REO Speedwagon's hit: Can't Fight This Feeling.

Horton Hears a Who definitely deserves a woo-hoo!!

Theatre Alive: Run For Your Wife

I had the pleasure to go see a production from Theatre Alive here in Windsor. They put on a great show called "Run For Your Wife" by Ray Cooney and directed by Sarah Fitzgerald, which William got us tickets to see.

Overall, it was very witty with quite an entertaining and lively cast. Sometimes the British accents were a little mismatched, but not a big deal at all since each character really took on their role with charm and enthusiasm. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate too. You could clearly see the stage and all the little details, like the facial expressions of a character that you may miss in a larger setting.

There was also a small concession area to purchase food/drinks during intermission.

If you haven’t had a chance to get out and see a performance there, I definitely recommend going!

Taken from Theatre Alive:

"This superb example of the British farce had them rolling in the aisles in London and New York. John Smith is your ordinary London cab driver. He owns his own car, sets his own hours, is hard working, punctual and lives a very ordinary life...with the exception of his two wives, Mary and Barbara. Complication is piled upon complication as the cabby tries to keep his double life from exploding. Run for Your Wife is a fast paced, slapstick, laugh a minute romp that leaves you in stitches and begging for more."
