A WEIRD Biopic: The Al Yankovic Story Movie Review

If you’ve never heard of Weird Al Yankovic, one of the most well-known geeky pop-culture parody artists, grab a slice or two of bologna and have a seat because you’re about to with Weird - directed by Eric Appel

Daniel Radcliffe, who many adored as magical Harry Potter or the fart-with-a-heart corpse in Swiss Army Man, gets to play dress-up again. This time, slapping on un-sexy specs, a curly wig and stash and tacky Hawaiian shirts to emulate Weird Al’s rather unique appearance as well as his kooky mannerisms.

There are a lot of laughs in this one, some you’re going to get right away and other jokes might take a minute or two...or three.

Cameos are also abundant with stars like Conan O’Brien, Jack BlackLin-Manuel Miranda, Josh Groban and so many more!

Weird Al remains a bit of a mystery. One never really knows what events actually took place as it feels like everything is an alternate reality coming from Weird Al’s brain and his desire to parody the parody that has been his wildly successful and nerdy journey through life.

I'm not going to reveal much more, you'll have to watch the movie to get the full weirdness experience and maybe plan for your next polka party!

💜Weird is currently streaming on Roku.
