Belated Father's Day.

I enter a lot of contests (not as many as my mom though!) and so I was pretty excited to know that I ended up winning the Father's Day Giveaway contest from Casey's. This is by far my parents' favourite restaurant in Windsor. They love the food and we always get excellent service when Karen (best waitress ever!) is working.

You had to write about a memorable moment with your dad. This was a true story, but I can look back now and laugh because the jerk who stood me up, never deserved me anyway.

Here is my entry:

"When I was younger, I was stood up on New Years Eve, which was pretty devastating to me, especially since I made plans, bought a new outfit and was really looking forward to a special evening. However, when my dad found out what happened, he cancelled his plans, picked me up and went searching the entire city to find something sweet to cheer me up. We stopped at every store he could think of. Unfortunately, nothing was open at all, except for Krispy Kreme donuts. So he ordered what was left, got a few paper hats from the shop (we looked ridiculous but he insisted on putting them on!) came home, ate donuts and celebrated better times to come."

Looks like dinner will be on me. :)
